“Behind every successful man stands a strong woman.”
– as the saying goes,. For Miklós Ybl, one of the outstanding masters of the 19th century, that strong woman was his wife, Franciska Lafite, IDA, a governess born in Graz. Our Austro-Hungarian bistro, which evokes the peaceful times of the past, is named after her unique personality. Its home is the facade of the Várkert Bazaar, a part of the Ybl heritage, thus forming a bridge between the Austrian capital and Budapest.
